Mauritius is an island in the Indian Ocean that is southeast of Africa. This island boasts of beautiful lagoons, coral reefs and beaches. It is too a mountainous island with the anterior offering rainforests, waterfalls and amazing wildlife. The population density on the island is the highest in Africa. The Capital is Port Louis.

The photographic and film industry has grown rapidly over the last 10 years. There is basic camera and grip equipment on the island, however most crews bring all equipment with them. Travelling to Mauritius is via flight and thereafter using car hires to travel around the island.

Mauritius’s currency is the Mauritian Rupee (MUR). There is also a rebate system in place through the government which enables companies to have huge tax rebate when shooting in Mauritius.
